Brenna E. Whitmore

With nearly two decades of experience in the beauty industry, Brenna E. Whitmore brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and mentorship to the next generation of beauty professionals.  A licensed cosmetologist since 2007 and cosmetology instructor since 2012, she has dedicated her career to not only mastering the craft but also guiding others in turning their skills into sustainable, thriving careers.  

Currently serving as the Career Services Coordinator for the Cosmetology at Southern Careers Institute, Brenna recently gained the "Shining Star Award' for grad placement in her district. She made her staple by teaching the Institute's first-ever Permanent Makeup course at their Brownsville, TX campus~expanding opportunities for students in this fast-growing specialty.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, she previously owned and operated a successful "Salon turned Spa" for more than a decade and held teaching positions at top institutions including Paul Mitchell, Empire Beauty School, and The Institute for Natural Hair and Braiding. 

Her session, "Beyond the Basics: Building a Career, Not Just a Skillset," empowers beauty students and new professionals to translate their technical training into real-world success.  She dives into branding, professionalism, social media strategy, and client retention-offering practical insights and mentorship rooted in lived experience.

Mentoring has always been her sweet spot, and she remains committed to helping beauty professionals go beyond the chair and into long-term, fulfilling careers.
